Pricing is quoted for each job.
A number of factors are taken into consideration:
- Location
- Number of men required
- Distance between jobs
- Parking and access inside the building
- Toll charges and congestion zones
We mainly operate by the hour unless the job is of significant distance or there are special circumstances. You will get a full hours work without brakes, lengthy phone calls or any other interruptions. Bookings are for a minimum of 1.5 hours unless it is just a small selection of items to pick up (under 5 items) or 2.5 hours for two men. House or flat moves will need to either be priced on the whole or taken in 4, 6, or 8 hour bookings.
Longer distance jobs will be priced on the job. Unless the customer adds extra pickups or is not honest about what the job consists of you will be given a price and that is what you will pay. No hidden extras etc! This is usually worked out using a slightly discounted hourly rate on the time taken for the journey plus the cost of the fuel only. No wear and tear, mileage on the vans etc is added as this is factored into the hourly rate.
Please refer to the table below as a general rule of thumb on hourly costs. Fuel is free within a 8 mile radius of Hurstpierpoint which is Just North of Brighton (NB this covers the whole of Brighton & Hove and surrounding towns and goes up to Haywards Heath. Please see map below.
